Austin Harley Owners Group
Big Bend Ride
2000

Austin Harley Owner's Group (Ahog) had a trip to Big Bend
Not sure of the exact numbers but there were over 50 people, and 34 bikes divided into two groups, rumbling along.

We left the Austin area about 7:00 am on a Friday morning, arriving in Fort Davis about 4:30 that afternoon.
Saturday Morning 9:30 we took a scenic ride down thourgh Presidio and along the Rio Grande Arriving mid after noon in Lajitas, the Heart of Big Bend.
Sunday around noon, after about 3 hours of site seeing in Big Bend National park, Rae and I headed back toward Austin arriving home about midnight. The rest of the gang spent the day site seeing in and around the National Park.
Monday morning the gang departed for Del Rio where they spent the night.
Tuesday morning they headed back to Austin arriving about mid afternoon.

Yes a lot of miles were covered (1,000 plus miles in 3 days for us) (1,200 plus in 5 days for the others), it was the best trip I've ever taken.
The worst part of the trip was pulling in the drive way and then getting off the bike!

A big part of making it a great trip were the people - more that 50 of the greatest folks you'll ever meet!!!

There's nothing like hearing the rumble of and being part of a heard of Harley's!!! If you don't understand, you'll just have to experience it!
